Novelty is neither necessary nor sufficient to link curiosity and creativity as stated in the target article. We point out the article's logical shortcomings, outline preconditions that may link curiosity and creativity, and suggest that curiosity and creativity may be expressions of a common epistemic drive.

This study explores the relationship between creative self-efficacy and creative behavior by modulating state-level creative self-efficacy through false feedback to enhance creative performance. In Study 1, 1539 college students completed the Alternative Uses Task (AUT) to measure performance-based creativity and the Creative Achievement Questionnaire (CAQ) to assess self-reported creative achievements. Rapidly emerging technologies, such as generative AI tools, have already had a reverberating impact on science and society.
