Herein, a robust catalyst system, composed of a bipyridine-based diphosphine ligand (BiPyPhos) and a cobalt precursor Co(acac), is successfully developed and applied in the hydroboration of terminal alkynes, exclusively affording various versatile β--vinylboronates in high yields at room temperature.
