The case report presents a male patient in his mid-60s with a history of hypertension, benign prostatic hyperplasia and chronic kidney disease (CKD). He presented with gradually increasing serum creatinine levels and hyperglobulinemia, leading to suspicion of multiple myeloma. However, subsequent testing revealed features consistent with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and IgG4-related kidney disease (IgG4-RKD).

Bacteria with the simplest system for solar energy absorption and conversion use various types of light-harvesting complexes for these purposes. Light-harvesting complex 2 (LH2), an important component of the bacterial photosynthetic apparatus, has been structurally well characterized among purple non-sulfur bacteria. In contrast, so far only one high-resolution LH2 structure from sulfur bacteria is known.

The projected sensitivity of the effective electron neutrino-mass measurement with the KATRIN experiment is below 0.3 eV (90 % CL) after 5 years of data acquisition. The sensitivity is affected by the increased rate of the background electrons from KATRIN's main spectrometer.
