Tianjin, a coastal metropolis in north China, has grappled with land subsidence for nearly a century. Yet, emerging evidence suggests a notable decrease in subsidence rates across Tianjin since 2019. This trend is primarily attributed to the importation of surface water from the Yangtze River system via the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, initiated in December 2014.

Introduction: Acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) cessation, is suggestive of a rebound phenomenon laying the ground for ischemic stroke (IS) re-occurrence but nothing is known about its implication for IS severity (ISS). Thus, the aim of our study is to examine whether or not aspirin withdrawal is a risk factor for ISS.
Patients And Methods: This study, recruited patients having presented an IS in the following 2 weeks of ASA withdrawal, matched with treatment free cases.

Saw palmetto is a frequently used botanical agent in benign prostatic enlargement (BPH). Although it has been reported to cause cholestatic hepatitis and many medical conditions, Saw palmetto has not been implicated in acute pancreatitis. We report a case of a probable Saw palmetto induced acute hepatitis and pancreatitis.
