Electrochemiluminescence (ECL) featuring thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) properties has attracted considerable interest, showcasing their potential for 100 % exciton harvesting, which marks a significant advancement in the realm of organic ECL. However, the challenge of elucidating the precise contribution of TADF to the enhanced ECL efficiency arises due to the lack of comparative studies of organic compounds with or without efficient TADF properties. In this study, we present four carbazole-benzonitrile molecules possessing similar chemical structures and comparable exchange energy (ΔE). Despite their comparable properties, these compounds exhibited varying TADF efficiencies, warranting a closer examination of their underlying structural and electronic characteristics governing the optical properties. Consequently, intense ECL emission was only observed from 4CzBN with a remarkable TADF efficiency, underscoring the substantial difference in the ECL signal among molecules with comparable ΔE and similar spectral properties but varying TADF activity.

Background: The Sysmex DI-60 system (Sysmex, Kobe, Japan) is an automated cell image analyzer that captures and analyzes cell images. The aim of this study was to evaluate the performance of DI-60 for leukocyte differential count in comparison with manual differential count and XN-20.

Methods: A total of 205 samples were analyzed and the agreement between DI-60 pre-classification and post-verification by medical technicians was determined.

Background: Tuberculosis is still a significant global health challenge, with latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) posing a risk for the development of active disease. This study aimed to compare the performance of the STAN-DARD F TB-Feron FIA test with the QuantiFERON-TB Gold Plus, a test endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO), in detecting LTBI.

Methods: We included 137 participants, out of which 58.

Background: Foodborne trematodiasis (FBT) poses a significant public health challenge in East Asia, influenced by local dietary practices and environmental conditions. This study evaluates the prevalence trends and disease burden of FBT in China, Japan, and South Korea from 1990 to 2021, with future burden projections until 2030, to guide targeted prevention strategies and public health resource allocation.

Methods: The study utilized data from the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) 2021, including the absolute prevalence, age-standardized prevalence rate (ASPR), disability-adjusted life years (DALYs), and age-standardized DALY rate (ASDALR).

Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Symbiosis School of Culinary Arts and Nutritional Sciences, Symbiosis International (Deemed) University, Pune, Maharashtra, India.

Objective: The study aims to analyse the eating patterns and consumption of ultra-processed food (UPFs) among individuals with and without diabetes.

Methods: A comparative cross-sectional study was conducted across Pune, India, with 100 individuals with type 2 diabetes (T2D) and 208 without diabetes. A detailed FFQ (Food Frequency Questionnaire) developed by NOVA-UPF Screener with 33 ultra-processed food items was used to evaluate the consumption patterns of UPF.
