Introduction: Raised intracranial pressure (ICP) can be due to varied etiology. Differentiating among these various etiologies is crucial in making appropriate therapeutic decisions. A patient with a known past history of the primary or secondary headache of any etiology, when presenting with new onset severe headache, needs to be evaluated with imaging to rule out an alternative diagnosis.
Discussion: Here, we describe the case details of a young lady who presented with recurrent raised ICP headaches due to three different etiologies. At her third visit, isolated intracranial hypertension (IH) was the only manifestation of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST), which could have been missed if a repeat magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) brain and venogram were not done.
Conclusion: Our case highlights the importance of having a high degree of suspicion for CVST in the clinical setting of raised ICP headache in view of its crucial therapeutic implications.

Desmoid tumours are rare benign tumours that show locally aggressive and invasive features leading to potential complications. They can be quite challenging for the treating surgeon if they occur adjacent to neurovascular structures. The aetiology of these tumours is still unclear, but the incidence is higher in females and in patients with a history of trauma or surgical procedures, raising the possibility of genetic and hormonal factors as well as post-traumatic or post-operative inflammatory changes promoting the formation of desmoid fibromatosis.

Background: Recurrence of gingival pigmentation following depigmentation procedures is common, raising the question of the influence of an underlying cause, if any. Melanin, a non-hemoglobin-derived brown pigment, is the most common endogenous pigment contributing to gingival pigmentation. Hemoglobin derivatives are among the other prime pigments that contribute to gingival color.

Introduction: We explored the efficacy and safety of dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) for individuals diagnosed with stroke or transient ischaemic attack (TIA), incorporating the latest insights from randomised controlled trials (RCTs). The emerging evidence surrounding DAPT in stroke and TIA plays a pivotal role in guiding clinical decisions.
Methods: Our study included five RCTs (INSPIRES, THALES, POINT, CHANCE, FASTER) on DAPT (aspirin + P2Y12 inhibitor) initiated within 72 hours of acute stroke or TIA, which evaluated DAPT efficacy and safety over 21-90 days, focusing on new strokes and major bleeding.

Malignant tumors have been a serious threat to human health with their increasing incidence. Difficulties with conventional treatments are toxicity, drug resistance, and recurrence. For this reason, non-invasive treatment modalities such as photothermal therapy (PTT), photodynamic therapy (PDT), chemodynamic therapy (CDT), and others have received much attention.

Background: Desmoid-type fibromatosis of the breast is a rare, benign, but locally aggressive tumor that typically affects women. Its presentation in male patients is exceedingly rare, and even more so following a cosmetic procedure such as liposuction. This case report describes a unique presentation of breast fibromatosis in a male patient, who developed the condition after undergoing liposuction for cosmetic purposes to define the pectoral area.
