Leaf mass per area (LMA) is a key structural parameter that reflects the functional traits of leaves and plays a vital role in simulating the material and energy cycles of plant ecosystems. In this study, vertical whorl-by-whorl sampling of LMA was conducted in a young plantation during the growing season at the Saihanba Forest Farm. The vertical and seasonal variations in LMA were analysed. Subsequently, a predictive model of LMA was constructed. The results revealed that the LMA varied significantly between different crown whorls and growing periods. In the vertical direction of the crown, the LMA decreased with increasing crown depth, but the range of LMA values from the tree top to the bottom was, on average, 30.4 g/m, which was approximately 2.5 times greater in the fully expanded phase than in the early leaf-expanding phase. During different growing periods, the LMA exhibited an allometric growth trend that increased during the leaf-expanding phase and then tended to stabilize. However, the range of LMA values throughout the growing period was, on average, 40.4 g/m. Among the univariate models, the leaf dry matter content (LDMC) performed well (adjusted determination coefficient () = 0.45, root mean square error (RMSE) = 13.48 g/m) in estimating the LMA. The correlation between LMA and LDMC significantly differed at different growth stages and at different vertical crown whorls. The dynamic predictive model of LMA constructed with the relative depth in the crown (RDINC) and date of the year (DOY) as independent variables was reliable in both the assessments ( = 0.68, RMSE = 10.25 g/m) and the validation (absolute mean error (MAE) = 8.05 g/m, fit index (FI) = 0.682). Dynamic simulations of crown LMA provide a basis for elucidating the mechanism of crown development and laying the foundation for the construction of an ecological process model.

In the present study, the Homotopy Levenberg-Marquardt Algorithm (HLMA) and the Parameter Variation Levenberg-Marquardt Algorithm (PV-LMA), both developed in the context of high-temperature composition, are proposed to address the equilibrium composition model of plasma under the condition of local thermodynamic and chemical equilibrium. This model is essentially a nonlinear system of weakly singular Jacobian matrices. The model was formulated on the basis of the Saha and Guldberg-Waage equations, integrated with Dalton's law of partial pressures, stoichiometric equilibrium, and the law of conservation of charge, resulting in a nonlinear system of equations with a weakly singular Jacobian matrix.

Background And Objective: Selection of patients harboring mutations in homologous recombination repair (HRR) genes for treatment with a PARP inhibitor (PARPi) is challenging in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). To gain further insight, we quantitatively assessed the differential efficacy of PARPi therapy among patients with mCRPC and different HRR gene mutations.
Methods: This living meta-analysis (LMA) was conducted using the Living Interactive Evidence synthesis framework.

Introduction: Propofol is a fast-acting intravenous anaesthetic widely used for sedation and anaesthesia in gastrointestinal endoscopy, bronchoscopy, and the induction/maintenance of general anaesthesia in outpatients and inpatients; however, propofol has several undesirable effects, including injection pain, which affects the physical and mental health of patients, and cardiopulmonary depression, characterised by hypotension, bradycardia and apnea, which commonly occur in clinical practice. Ciprofol (HSK3486) is a propofol analogue with good clinical safety, high potency and some advantages over propofol, including lower injection pain and haemodynamic depression in patients undergoing gastroscopy and colonoscopy. This study aims to compare the impact of equivalent effective doses of propofol and ciprofol on haemodynamic changes in patients undergoing bronchoscopy under general anaesthesia.

Achieving effective interfacial compatibility between hydrophilic cellulose nanofibrils (CNFs) and hydrophobic vegetable oil polymers (VOPs) remained a significant challenge. To address this issue, we developed a one-component nanocomposite (OCN) based on hyperbranched CNF-grafted VOPs. Rigid precursor initiator poly (vinylbenzyl chloride) (PVBC) was first grafted onto the CNF surface via phase-transfer catalysis, forming a branched macroinitiator (CNF-g-PVBC) with chlorine contents ranging from 4.

Selenopeptides can be ideal dietary selenium (Se) supplements for humans. Currently, rice is not used much as a source of selenopeptides. Here, we executed the selenopeptidomics analysis of selenium-enriched rice protein hydrolysates using the full MS-dd-MS2 acquisition method and identified selenopeptides, including L{Se-Met}AK and other selenopeptides.
