Super duplex stainless steel (SDSS) is a suitable structural material for various engineering applications due to its outstanding strength and corrosion resistance. In particular, its high-temperature strength can enhance the safety of electronic products and cars. SDSS AISI2507, known for its excellent strength and high corrosion resistance, was analyzed for its microstructure and electrochemical behavior at the ignition temperature of Li-ion batteries, 700 °C. At 700 °C, AISI2507 exhibited secondary phase precipitation values of 1% and 8% after 5 and 10 h, respectively. Secondary phase precipitation was initiated by the expansion of austenite, forming sigma, chi, and CrN phases. The electrochemical behavior varied with the fraction of secondary phases. Secondary phase precipitation reduced the potential (From -0.25 V to -0.31 V) and increased the current density (From 8 × 10 A/cm to 3 × 10 A/cm) owing to galvanic corrosion by sigma and chi. As the fraction of secondary phases increased (From 0.0% to 8.1%), the open circuit potential decreased (From -0.25 V to -0.32 V). Secondary phase precipitation is a crucial factor in reducing the corrosion resistance of SDSS AISI2507 and occurs after 1 h of exposure at 700 °C.

Objective: Aim: To investigate the effect of succinic acid on the humoral component of the immune system in rats.

Patients And Methods: Materials and Methods: The study was conducted on two groups of mature non-linear white rats (males) of similar weight (200-270 g, aged 6-8 months), with 5 animals in each group. The control group was fed a standard diet with free access to water throughout the experiment.

Importance: Nelonemdaz selectively antagonizes the 2B subunit of the N-methyl-d-aspartate glutamate receptor and scavenges free radical species.

Objective: To evaluate whether nelonemdaz enhances the clinical outcomes of patients with acute ischemic stroke undergoing emergent reperfusion therapy.

Design, Setting, And Participants: This multicenter double-blind placebo-controlled randomized phase 3 trial (December 25, 2021, to June 30, 2023, in South Korea) recruited patients with acute ischemic stroke who met the following criteria: National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale score greater than or equal to 8, Alberta Stroke Program Early Computed Tomography score greater than or equal to 4, and endovascular thrombectomy within 12 hours after stroke onset.

Purpose: Improvements in the treatment of advanced cancer have increased life expectancy but have also increased the costs to healthcare systems, patients and their families. A systematic review is needed to summarize research work on the cost of cancer. The primary objective was to describe the characteristics and methodology of studies investigating the cost of cancer during the palliative phase.

Background: Larsucosterol is a DNA methyltransferase inhibitor in development for alcohol-associated hepatitis (AH), a disease for which there is no approved therapy.

Methods: In this phase 2b trial, patients with severe AH were randomly assigned 1:1:1 to receive 30 mg or 90 mg of larsucosterol or placebo; a second dose was administered after 72 hours if the patient remained hospitalized. All patients received supportive care as determined by investigators.

Purpose: Few studies have explored the bone response in dental implant sites prepared using a piezoelectric device, indicating moderate effectiveness in enhancing secondary stability and osteogenesis. This study seeks to expand our understanding of the changes in biological, clinical, and radiographic parameters, during the initial phases of osseointegration in sites prepared with piezoelectric surgery.

Materials And Methods: Two implant sites were prepared in the tibia of four minipigs.
