The chemoselective N-H insertion of unsymmetrical diamines into carbene is a longstanding challenge. A simple copper-catalyzed strategy for synthesizing -substituted piperazinones is described, employing easily accessible diazo compounds and 1,2-diamines. The reaction proceeded chemo-selective carbene insertion at the comparatively less nucleophilic amine, followed by instantaneous cyclization. The protocol was further extended to access NH-free piperazinone, and the synthesis of a Mianserin derivative.

Introduction: In order to identify the efficacy of treatment interventions for trauma-affected refugees follow-up studies are highly warranted. Hence, the overall aim of this study was to examine the effi-cacy of sleep-enhancing treatment, IRT and mianserin, in a sample of 219 trauma-affected refugees at six-month follow-up post-treatment.
Methods: Data were derived from a four-armed randomized controlled trial in a sample of trauma-affected refugees with PTSD.

Unlabelled: Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) is a very complex disease, challenging to study and manage. The complexities of MDD require extensive research of its mechanisms to develop more effective therapeutic approaches. Crucial in the context of this disease is the role of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) signaling pathway.

Objective: Therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) is an important tool for treatment optimisation. Its usefulness has recently been demonstrated for some first-line antidepressants; however, few studies have been reported on the relationship between blood levels of mirtazapine and its antidepressant effects. The aim of this study was to investigate the association between blood concentration of mirtazapine and antidepressant response.
