Background And Aims: Pilonidal sinus surgery (PSS) can be done with local anaesthetic infiltration, spinal anaesthesia, or general anaesthesia (GA). Erector spinae plane block (ESPB) is used for peri-operative analgesia. Erector spinae muscles extend to the sacral region, so it can provide post-operative analgesia in PSS.

Background: In the context of transoral robotic surgery (TORS) for oropharyngeal squamous carcinoma (OPSCC), preoperative imaging and intraoperative visualization plays a pivotal role in optimizing resection margins. Prior work has demonstrated the ability of transoral ultrasound (US) in identifying OPSCC margins and vascular structures. This study evaluates the effectiveness of transcervical ultrasound (TUS), as well as other preoperative imaging modalities, in evaluating OPSCC volumes and compares this to post TORS pathological OPSCC volumes.

Introduction And Importance: Insulinomas are rare pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms with an incidence of one to four cases per million annually and a 5 % to 10 % association with hereditary multiple endocrine neoplasia type-1. While most insulinomas are benign and well-encapsulated, approximately 6 % may have malignant potential. Intraoperative localization remains a vital component of treatment, often facilitated by modern imaging techniques like intraoperative ultrasound and fluorescence modalities.

Schwannomas are rare, benign tumours arising from Schwann cells, with oesophageal cases representing a small fraction. Their variety of symptoms and nonspecific imaging features often make preoperative diagnosis challenging, frequently requiring immunohistochemical staining for confirmation. We describe the case of a 62-year-old woman with progressive dysphagia, found to have a subepithelial mass at the gastroesophageal junction (GOJ).

Hibernomas are rare, benign neoplasms characterized by the presence of brown adipose tissue. Although these tumors may arise in any region of brown fat, they predominantly occur in the thigh, shoulder, back, and neck. Hibernomas are rarely found in mammary tissue, with a higher prevalence in females than males.
