Introduction: Despite the many benefits of smartphones, researchers have raised concerns over problematic smartphone use (PSU) and its negative effects on physical and psychological well-being. Studies examining PSU and its impact among adults remain limited. Hence, we aim to examine the prevalence of PSU among adults in Singapore, and explore its associations with smartphone activities, sleep quality, and psychological well-being, as well as age and gender-related differences in these associations.

The uncertainty associated with the future of viruses such as SARS-CoV-2 poses a challenge to public health officials because of its implications for welfare, economics and population health. In this document, we develop an age-stratified epidemiological-mathematical model to predict various health outcomes, considering the effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines. The analytical model proposed and developed for this research is based on the approach constructed by the COVID-19 International Modelling Consortium.

The aim of this study was to assess the association between self-rated general health and caries experience in an adult Norwegian population and to assess if the associations were modified by age and sex.
Methods: Data were collected as part of the Trøndelag Health Study (HUNT4) conducted 2017-2019 and a randomly selected subsample (20%) were invited for the HUNT4 Oral Health Study.

Background: In India, currently, there are no standard guidelines for the management of moderate acute malnutrition (MAM). Previous research in Bangladesh has shown that children with MAM have impaired gut microbiota development, and microbiota-directed complementary foods (MDCF) can potentially repair their gut microbiota.
Objectives: The objectives of this study were to evaluate the acceptability and safety of supplementing shelf-stable formulation of MDCF in Indian children with MAM as compared with a locally prepared ready-to-use supplementary food (RUSF) in 3 geographically distinct Indian populations and to establish and pilot systems of intervention delivery, collection, transport, and storage of stool samples using stringent protocols.

Background: The burgeoning prevalence of food allergy-related diseases is closely associated with geographical allergen distribution and societal lifestyle paradigms. This study aims to shed light on the distribution patterns of specific IgE (sIgE) and total IgE (tIgE) reactivity to common food allergens in the Southern Chinese populace.
Methods: Employing an analytical technique spanning two decades, we conducted specific IgE and total IgE on serum samples harvested from patients with food allergy-related pathologies at First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University from 2004 to 2023.
