Nano metakaolin (NMK) has attracted considerable interest for its potential to improve the durability of cementitious materials. However, the effect of NMK on the splitting tensile performance of concrete has not been systematically investigated. This study investigates the splitting tensile performance of NMK concrete and analyzes its failure behavior under splitting load.

Background And Objectives: Donor human milk (DHM) from a human milk bank (HMB) is used to feed low-birthweight (LBW) and preterm infants when mothers cannot provide their own breastmilk. The misuse of DHM could interfere with mothers' breastmilk and weaken breastfeeding efforts. This study aimed to identify factors behind prolonged DHM usage during the first six years of Vietnam's first HMB.

This study presents an experimental investigation of the quasi-static and dynamic behavior of a quasi-isotropic carbon-fiber-reinforced composite subjected to in-plane compressive loading. The experiments were performed at strain rates ranging from 4×10-5 to ∼1200 s-1 to quantifythe strain-rate-dependent response, failure propagation, and damage morphology using advanced camera systems. Fiber bridging, kink band formation, dominance of interlaminar failure, and inter-fiber failure fracture planes are evidenced through post-mortem analysis.

In today's digital age, ensuring the appropriateness of content for children is crucial for their cognitive and emotional development. The rise of automated text generation technologies, such as Large Language Models like LLaMA, Mistral, and Zephyr, has created a pressing need for effective tools to filter and classify suitable content. However, the existing methods often fail to effectively address the intricate details and unique characteristics of children's literature.

Background: Non-adherence to medication remains a persistent and significant challenge, with profound implications for patient outcomes and the long-term sustainability of healthcare systems. Two decades ago, the World Health Organization (WHO) dedicated its seminal report to adherence to long-term therapies, catalysing notable changes that advanced both research and practice in medication adherence. The aim of this paper was to identify the most important progress made over the last 2 decades in medication adherence management and to initiate a discussion on future objectives, suggesting priority targets for the next 20 years.
