Background: Dry eye disease (DED) is a multifactorial condition characterized by ocular surface inflammation, tear film instability, and corneal epithelial damage. Current treatments often provide temporary relief without addressing the underlying inflammatory mechanisms.
Objectives: This study examined the therapeutic potential of crocin and nobiletin, two naturally derived compounds with well-known antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, in a mouse model of DED induced by lacrimal gland excision (LGE).

Background: While antimicrobial use (AMU) in human healthcare has received significant attention as a key driver of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), less emphasis has been placed on AMU practices and attitudes in animal husbandry. To address this gap, this study examines the patterns and underlying drivers of AMU on animal farms.
Methods: A survey instrument was distributed to farm staff in 150 animal farms across 15 Egyptian governorates.

G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) adopt conformational states that activate or inhibit distinct signaling pathways, including those mediated by G proteins or β-arrestins. Biased signaling through GPCRs may offer a promising strategy to enhance therapeutic efficacy while reducing adverse effects. Cannabinoid receptor 1 (CB1), a key GPCR in the endocannabinoid system, presents therapeutic potential for conditions such as pain, anxiety, cognitive impairment, psychiatric disorders, and metabolic diseases.

Cancer remains a formidable global health challenge requiring the continued exploration of innovative therapeutic approaches. While traditional treatment strategies including surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy have had some success, primarily in early-stage disease, the quest for more targeted, personalized, safer, and effective therapies remains an ongoing pursuit. Over the past decade, significant advances in the field of tumor immunology have dramatically shifted a focus towards immunotherapy, although the ability to harness and coopt the immune system to treat cancer is still just beginning to be realized.

Honeybees, essential pollinators for maintaining biodiversity, are experiencing a sharp population decline, which has become a pressing environmental concern. Among the factors implicated in this decline, neonicotinoid pesticides, particularly those belonging to the fourth generation, have been the focus of extensive scrutiny due to their potential risks to honeybees.
