Objectives: To assess the long-term clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction with narrow-diameter implants (NDIs) in the posterior jaws and to identify the risk indicators for NDI failure.
Materials And Methods: This retrospective study reviewed 479 patients with 666 NDIs (diameter ≤ 3.5 mm) -supported fixed prostheses in posterior jaws, with a minimum 10-year follow-up.

Oral submucous fibrosis (OSF) is a chronic, progressive, and fibrotic condition of the oral mucosa that carries an elevated risk of malignant transformation. We aimed to identify and validate novel genes associated with the regulation of epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in OSF. Genes regulating EMT were identified through differential gene expression analysis, using a LogFC threshold of -1 and + 1 and a padj value < 0.

Objectives: The aim of the present study was to compare the accuracy of fully guided implant insertion in vitro achieved by two fabrication methods in a cohort of undergraduates. We hypothesized that both methods achieve a comparable accuracy.
Methods: Surface scans and cone beam computed tomography images of 48 mandibular models were matched.

Objective: To analyse the clinical, radiographic, and pathological characteristics of aneurysmal bone cyst of the jaws (JABCs), and to provide reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
Materials And Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on 19 patients with JABC diagnosed from 2018 to 2022.
Results: Of the 19 JABC patients (5 males, 14 females, aged 7-53 years, mean 23.

Objective: Antiresorptives cases of adverse reactions to highly effective drugs used to treat skeletal-related events that occur during treatment of osteoporosis or malignancy have been reported in the jaw. To date, there is no clear pathophysiology for medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ), but the role of inflammation or infection has been proposed as one of several possible pathogenesis theories. This study was designed to investigate the role of infection in the pathogenesis of MRONJ by analyzing the microbial communities observed in the bone samples from MRONJ patients.
