Histone deacetylase 6 (HDAC6) is an enzyme crucial in epigenetic regulation and protein degradation, with implications in various cancers and neurodegenerative disorders. While HDAC6 is recognized as a promising therapeutic target for Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases, its involvement in spinocerebellar ataxias (SCAs) remains underexplored. Currently, there are no direct methods available for characterizing HDAC6 in the brains of living subjects.

The brain is an organ that consumes a substantial amount of oxygen, and a reduction in oxygen concentration can rapidly lead to significant and irreversible brain injury. The progression of brain injury during hypoxia involves the depletion of intracellular adenosine triphosphate (ATP) due to decreased oxidative phosphorylation in the inner mitochondrial membrane. Allopurinol is a purine analog inhibitor of xanthine oxidoreductase that protects against hypoxic/ischemic brain injury; however, its underlying mechanism of action remains unclear.

Neuromorphic computing holds immense promise for developing highly efficient computational approaches. Memristor-based artificial neurons, known for due to their straightforward structure, high energy efficiency, and superior scalability, which enable them to successfully mimic biological neurons with electrical devices. However, the reliability of memristors has always been a major obstacle in neuromorphic computing.

Aberration layers (AL) often present significant energy transmission barriers in microwave engineering, electromagnetic waves, and medical ultrasound. However, achieving broadband ultrasonic focusing through aberration layers like the human skull using conventional materials such as metals and elastomers has proven challenging. In this study, we introduce an inverse phase encoding method employing tunable soft metalens to penetrate heterogeneous aberration layers.

Purpose: Mild Traumatic brain injury is classified based on Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS 13-15), it also involves transient alteration of brain function, which may lead to severe short- and long-term sequelae. When treating a patient with a mild head injury outside the hospital, it is of crucial importance to decide whether to transport him to a center without neurosurgery or to a center equipped with neurosurgery (primary centralization). Recent decades have seen exploration of portable, non-invasive devices for intracranial injury and stroke detection, with microwave frequency electromagnetic field technology showing promising clinical outcomes.
