The tumor-associated mucin MUC1 is overexpressed in almost all types of epithelial tumor tissues, making it an attractive target antigen for cancer immunotherapy. Here we present a protocol to prepare MUC1 glycopeptide vaccines and to evaluate immunization effects in mice. We describe steps for synthesizing glycopeptide antigen and conjugating it with carrier protein to make vaccine candidates. We then detail procedures for mice immunization, antibody response evaluation, and cellular immune response. For complete details on the use and execution of this protocol, please refer to Cai et al..

Background: Short dentin etching, a relatively recent technique, aims to improve resin-dentin bonding by preserving hydroxyapatite crystals within the collagen spaces. This study explores short dentin etching's potential in mitigating over-etching issues in deep proximal dentin/cementum margins, an aspect not previously investigated. This study evaluates the microtensile bond strength (μTBS) and marginal adaptation of two universal adhesives using different etch-and-rinse strategies (15-second and 3-second etching) and self-etch strategies, both immediate and post-thermal cycling and mechanical loading.

Background: There is increasing need for effective incorporation of high-dimensional genetics data from individuals with varied ancestry in genome-wide association (GWAS) analyses. Classically, multi-ancestry GWAS analyses are performed using statistical meta-analysis to combine results conducted within homogeneous ancestry groups. The emergence of cosmopolitan reference panels makes collective preprocessing of GWAS data possible, but impact on downstream GWAS results in a mega-analysis framework merits investigation.

Purpose: This pilot study evaluated and compared histomorphometric and immunohistochemical characteristics of peri-implant bone tissue after implant site preparation using piezoelectric tips versus conventional drills.

Material And Methods: Six patients with bilateral partial edentulism underwent a splitmouth protocol. Twelve alveolar ridges were randomized into six control implant sites prepared using conventional drills (Drill Group); and six test implant sites prepared using piezoelectric implant inserts (Piezo Group).

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the prevalence and sociodemographic determinants of major depressive disorder (MDD) and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) among Mozambican youth aged 15-24 years, as well as their help-seeking behaviors.

Methods: Data from 8,154 youth participants in the 2022-23 Mozambique Demographic Health Survey were analyzed. MDD and GAD were assessed using the PHQ-9 and GAD-7 scales, respectively.
