As the detection rate of pancreatic cystic lesions(PCL)increases, artificial intelligence(AI)has made breakthroughs in the imaging workflow of PCL,including image post-processing,lesion detection, segmentation, diagnosis and differential diagnosis.AI-based image post-processing can optimize the quality of medical images and AI-assisted models for lesion detection, segmentation, diagnosis and differential diagnosis significantly enhance the work efficiency of radiologists. This article reviews the application progress of AI in PCL imaging and provides prospects for future research directions.

Background: Multiple management guidelines for intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMNs) have been published to improve risk stratification and resource utilization. This study aims to evaluate trends in endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) use and agreement between cross-sectional imaging and EUS for specific pancreas cystic lesion (PCL) features.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study included consecutive adults undergoing EUS for suspected IPMN detected with cross-sectional imaging (CT/MRCP) between 2013 and 2015 (Cohort 1) and 2018-2020 (Cohort 2).

Objectives: To assess the natural history of incidental pancreatic cystic lesions (PCLs) and the sensitivity of surveillance guidelines to detect malignancy.
Materials And Methods: We performed a single-center retrospective analysis of incidental PCLs discovered between 2012 and 2017. Patients were identified by searching radiology reports for relevant keywords, then search results were manually reviewed to exclude patients with < 5 years of follow-up, non-incidental PCLs, known pancreatic cancer, or pancreatitis.

Although more than 90% of pancreatic tumors represent primary tumors, specifically ductal adenocarcinomas, metastatic tumors are not infrequent at this site. Metastasis of salivary gland tumors to the pancreas is exceedingly rare, with only a few cases reported in the English-language medical literature. Here, we report a patient with metastatic adenoid cystic carcinoma to the pancreas, 24 months following the initial diagnosis, and review the available literature on secondary tumors located in the pancreas with an emphasis on tumors of salivary gland origin.

Gallbladder rupture, though rare, is a serious complication often arising from choledocholithiasis and subsequent interventions such as endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). In this case, the patient presented with acute choledocholithiasis and underwent ERCP with sphincterotomy and stone extraction, followed by placement of a fully covered metal stent in the common bile duct (CBD). While the use of covered stents is appropriate, it is important to note that these stents can obstruct the cystic duct orifice in patients with a gallbladder.

Inflammation, acinar atrophy, and ductal hyperplasia drive pancreatic remodeling in newborn cystic fibrosis (CF) ferrets lacking a functional cystic fibrosis conductance regulator (CFTR) channel. These changes are associated with a transient phase of glucose intolerance that involves islet destruction and subsequent regeneration near hyperplastic ducts. The phenotypic changes in CF ductal epithelium and their impact on islet function are unknown.
