Heating techniques have underpinned the progress of the material and manufacturing industries. However, the explosive development of nanomaterials and micro/nanodevices has raised more requirements for the heating technique, including but not limited to high efficiency, low cost, high controllability, good usability, scalability, universality, and eco-friendliness. Carbothermal shock (CTS), a heating technique derived from traditional electrical heating, meets these requirements and is advancing at a high rate.

StarTrack is a powerful multicolor genetic tool designed to unravel cellular lineages arising from neural progenitor cells (NPCs). This innovative technique, based on retrospective clonal analysis and built upon the PiggyBac system, creates a unique and inheritable "color code" within NPCs. Through the stochastic integration of 12 distinct plasmids encoding six fluorescent proteins, StarTrack enables precise and comprehensive tracking of cellular fates and progenitor potentials.

It is important to provide an overview of the current management of periprosthetic fractures, including techniques for osteosynthesis and revision total hip and knee arthroplasty, as well as special considerations for periprosthetic acetabular fractures, periprosthetic tibial fractures, and interprosthetic femur fractures. In addition, the guiding principles for the management of potential subsequent complications including infection, nonunion, and instability are discussed.

These lesions are difficult to treat because of the poor blood supply and poor regenerative capacity of the talar articular cartilage. It is important to provide a comprehensive overview of the clinical presentation, diagnostic tools, and nonsurgical and surgical treatment strategies for osteochondral lesions of the talus.

Photoredox catalysis has been developed as a sustainable and eco-friendly catalytic strategy, which might provide innovative solutions to solve the current synthetic challenges and barriers in carbohydrate chemistry. During the last few decades, the study of organic photocatalyst-promoted carbohydrate synthesis and modification has received significant attention, which provides an excellent and inexpensive metal-free alternative to photoredox catalysis as well as introduces a new fastest-growing era to access complex carbohydrates simply. In this review, we aim to provide an overview of organic photocatalyst-promoted carbohydrate synthesis and modification under light irradiation, which is expected to provide new directions for further investigation.
