Preparation of nanocomposites based on fluorinated poly(3-octylthiophene-2,5-diyl) (POTF) and purified mesoporous carbon black (PMCB) as the solid-contact layer of a screen-printed carbon electrode (SPCE) is proposed. POTF is used as a dispersant for PMCB. The obtained nanocomposites possess unique characteristics including high conductivity, capacitance, and stability. The SPCE based on POTF and PMCB is characterized by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and chronopotentiometry, demonstrating simultaneous detection of Na, K, Ca, and NO ions with detection limits of 10, 10, 10, and 10 M, respectively. Water layer and anti-interference tests revealed that the electrode has high hydrophobicity, and the static contact angle is >140°. The electrode shows excellent selectivity, repeatability, reproducibility, and stability and is not easily affected by light, O, or CO.

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide is a crucial coenzyme in cellular metabolism and is implicated in various diseases. This work introduces an electrochemical bioanalytical method utilizing solution-phase formate dehydrogenase (CbFDH) for detecting its oxidized form (NAD) in human blood plasma samples. The detection mechanism involves the catalytic conversion of NAD to NADH, facilitated by CbFDH in the presence of formate.

Adenosine plays a crucial role in the cardiovascular and nervous systems of living organisms. Excessive adenosine can lead to arrhythmias or heart failure, making the accurate detection of adenosine highly valuable. Given the widespread use of sensors for detecting small molecules, we propose a sensitive electrochemical aptasensor for adenosine detection in this study.

Toxic materials are a threat in workplaces and the environment, as well as households. In them, gaseous substances are included, especially ones without any colour or fragrance, due to their non-detectability with the human senses. In this article, an attempt was made to find a solution for its detection in various conditions with the use of intelligent textiles.

In the current work, the MWCNTs/ZnO nanocomposite was successfully synthesized using simple method. Then, FE-SEM, XRD, and EDX techniques were applied for morphological and structural characterization. Afterward, a sensitive voltammetric sensor based on modification of a screen-printed carbon electrode (SPCE) using MWCNTs/ZnO nanocomposite was developed for the determination of doxorubicin in the presence of dacarbazine.

Biosensors harness biological materials as receptors linked to transducers, enabling the capture and transformation of primary biorecognition signals into measurable outputs. This study presents a novel carboxylation method for synthesizing carboxylated graphene (CG) under acidic conditions, enhancing biosensing capabilities. The characterization of the CG was performed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), Raman spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and X-ray diffraction (XRD).
