Purpose Of Review: Although non-squamous tumors of the larynx are really rare, they may not always be viewed from the same perspective in the multidisciplinary treatment approach once the diagnosis is made. In this review, non-squamous tumors of the larynx and current approaches in treatment will be discussed.
Recent Findings: When the studies and meta-analyses presented in the last 5 years are evaluated, it is seen that these tumors usually show non-specific symptoms. Due to their submucosal location, the stage of the disease at the time of diagnosis is often advanced. In the literature, treatment may vary in these particular cases. The majority of non-squamous tumors of the larynx includes minor salivary gland tumors, neuroendocrine carcinomas, sarcomas, cartilage tumors, and malignant melanomas. Once treating a patient with these diagnoses, it should be kept in mind that the histopathological subtype is almost as important as the stage of the tumor.

Purpose: We aimed to elucidate the efficacy of conventional cisplatin-based adjuvant chemotherapy for patients with lung cancers harboring epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutation.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study included 110 patients (EGFR mutation group: n = 51; EGFR wild-type group: n = 59) receiving cisplatin-based adjuvant chemotherapy following complete resection of non-small-cell non-squamous-cell lung cancer (2010-2021). Clinicopathological characteristics, recurrence-free survival (RFS), and overall survival (OS) were investigated.

Objective: Based on our previous research, which demonstrated that elevated plasma endoglin (ENG) levels in lung cancer patients were associated with a better prognosis, increased sensitivity to pemetrexed, and enhanced tumor suppression, this study aims to validate these findings at the cellular level. The focus is on membrane and extracellular ENG and their influence on drug response and tumor cell behavior in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells.
Methods: The correlation between ENG expression and pemetrexed-induced cytotoxicity in eight human non-squamous subtype NSCLC cell lines was analyzed.
