Unsupervised segmentation of heart sounds from abrupt changes detection.

Comput Biol Med

January 2025

Univ. Grenoble Alpes, CNRS, CHU Grenoble Alpes, Grenoble INP, TIMC-IMAG, La Tronche, France.

Background And Objective: Heart auscultation enables early diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases. Automated segmentation of cardiograms into fundamental heart states can guide physicians to analyze the patient's condition more effectively. In this work, we propose an unsupervised method of segmentation into heart sounds and silences based on the detection of abrupt changes in the signal.

Aiming at the problems caused by a lack of feature matching due to occlusion and fixed model parameters in cross-domain person re-identification, a method based on multi-branch pose-guided occlusion generation is proposed. This method can effectively improve the accuracy of person matching and enable identity matching even when pedestrian features are misaligned. Firstly, a novel pose-guided occlusion generation module is designed to enhance the model's ability to extract discriminative features from non-occluded areas.

Benchmarking of Multispectral Pansharpening: Reproducibility, Assessment, and Meta-Analysis.

J Imaging

December 2024

Department of Information Engineering and Mathematics, University of Siena, 53100 Siena, Italy.

The term pansharpening denotes the process by which the geometric resolution of a multiband image is increased by means of a co-registered broadband panchromatic observation of the same scene having greater spatial resolution. Over time, the benchmarking of pansharpening methods has revealed itself to be more challenging than the development of new methods. Their recent proliferation in the literature is mostly due to the lack of a standardized assessment.

This study aims to explore the current state of research and the applicability of artificial intelligence (AI) at various stages of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), including prevention, diagnosis, treatment, patient self-management, and drug development. We conducted a bibliometric analysis using software tools such as Bibliometrix (version 4.1), VOSviewer (version 1.
