Filoviruses, including Ebola, Marburg, Sudan, and Taï Forest viruses, are zoonotic pathogens that can cause severe viral hemorrhagic fever and death. Developing vaccines that provide durable, broad immunity against multiple filoviruses is a high global health priority. In this Phase 1 trial, we enrolled 60 healthy U.

Stage I of this study (NCT04142242) demonstrated the safety and immunogenicity of a booster dose of a licensed quadrivalent meningococcal tetanus toxoid-conjugate vaccine (MenACYW-TT) and immune persistence 3 and 6-7 years after priming in older adults who received either quadrivalent meningococcal polysaccharide vaccine (MPSV4) or MenACYW-TT at ≥56 years of age. Stage II, reported here, assessed the antibody persistence after MenACYW-TT versus MPSV4 priming and the safety and immunogenicity of a booster dose of MenACYW-TT in older adults 5 years after primary vaccination with either MPSV4 or MenACYW-TT. A serum bactericidal assay (hSBA) was used to measure functional antibodies against each serogroup immediately before MenACYW-TT booster vaccination and on day (D) 30 post-booster.

Whilst SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccines generate high neutralising antibodies (nAb) in most individuals, haematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) and chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) recipients respond poorly. HSCT/CAR-T treatment ablates existing immune memory, with recipients requiring revaccination analogous to being vaccine naive. An optimal revaccination strategy for this cohort has not been defined.

This study compared modern vehicle and booster geometries with relevant child anthropometries. Vehicle geometries (seat length, seat pan height, shoulder belt outlet height, and roof height) were obtained for 275 center and outboard rear seating positions of US vehicles (MY 2009-2022). Measurements of 85 US boosters (pan height and pan length) and anthropometries of 80 US children between 4-14yo (seated height, thigh length, leg length, and seated shoulder height) were also collected.

Forward-facing child restraint systems (FF CRS) and high-back boosters often contact the vehicle seat head restraint (HR) when installed, creating a gap between the back surface of the CRS and the vehicle seat. The effects of HR interference on dynamic CRS performance are not well documented. The objective of this study is to quantify the effects of HR interference for FF CRS and high-back boosters in frontal and far-side impacts.
