The dissolution of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) from coal tar at former manufactured gas plant (FMGP) sites is a long-term threat to groundwater quality. The dissolution rate is often limited by an increase in the viscosity of the non-aqueous phase liquid (NAPL) as the lower molecular weight compounds are depleted over time, and this slow mass transfer prevents the effective application of remediation technologies that rely on NAPL-to-water mass transfer to remove or degrade mass. Increasing subsurface temperatures has the potential to increase mass transfer at FMGP sites by increasing PAH solubility and reducing NAPL viscosity.

The increasing CO concentration in the atmosphere has substantial impacts on the global temperature. For energy sustainability and minimization of the effects of global warming, an approach to understand CO capturing and a carbon neutral culture is extremely essential in the present circumstances. The CO emission from vehicles and industries can be minimized using energy cost-effective techniques and can be converted more selectively into reusable fuels via thermochemical, electrochemical, photochemical, photocatalytic, electrocatalytic, biological and inorganic carbonate-based approaches.

Glaucoma is an irreversible, progressive, degenerative eye disorder arising because of increased intraocular pressure, resulting in eventual vision loss if untreated. The QSPR relates, mathematically, by employing various algorithms, a specified property of a molecule that arises either from physical, chemical, or biological phenomena using various aspects of its structure. Here in, a similar application based on topological indices and inferences derived from the structure for the calculation of different drug properties like molar refractivity, refractive index, enthalpy, boiling points, molecular weight, and polarizability is presented.

Fiber-reinforced polymer composites are subjected to harsh environmental conditions over the course of their designed lifespan. Studying the aging process of fiber-reinforced polymer composites exposed to boiling water is critical for improving their durability. This study uses a hand lay-up technique to fabricate composites from glass fiber, bamboo fiber, nanoclay, and epoxy.

Regularly consuming orange-fleshed sweet potatoes (OFSP) is widely recognised as an effective way to treat vitamin A deficiency (VAD), particularly in low-income countries. Unfortunately, cultivars of OFSP are poorly disseminated in most countries in sub-Saharan Africa, where VAD is a major cause of blindness. This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of the genotype-environment interaction (GEI) on the performance and stability of the yield components of OFSP cultivars to trigger their adoption by farmers.
