Ebola disease survivors often experience stigma in multiple forms, including felt (perceived) stigma, enacted (action-based) stigma, and institutional stigma. On September 20, 2022, Uganda declared a Sudan Virus Disease (species orthoebolavirus sudanense) outbreak after a patient with confirmed Sudan virus (SUDV) infection was identified in Mubende District. The outbreak led to 142 confirmed and 22 probable cases over the next two months.

- Plastic production is mainly happening in urban areas, leading to soil contamination with plastic fragments, especially from adhesive vinyl used in signage.
- This study is the first to examine how weathered adhesive vinyl can break down into microplastics in urban soils, revealing significant concentrations of microplastics in soil samples taken from around a sign exposed for eight years.
- The findings highlight the need for more sustainable materials in urban signage and suggest this research can aid in developing public policies on plastic pollution and improve controls on polluting companies.

Aviation is under tremendous pressure to mitigate its impacts on the climate, but the best response strategies are unknown today due to deep uncertainties. How low-emission fuels will scale to levels relevant for the industry, along with the best strategies for managing contrails and other non-CO effects, are unknowable today with unknown cost and disruption. A conventional risk-based approach that involves investment across a known set of options is unworkable; instead, we argue that an experimentalist approach is needed that addresses deep uncertainties head on.
