Background: Survival after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) decreased sharply in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is unknown if survival recovered to pre-pandemic levels, or how recovery varied by community racial and ethnic composition.
Methods: We analyzed adults with non-traumatic OHCA from 2015-2022 in the Cardiac Arrest Registry to Enhance Survival using multivariable regression models with generalized estimation equations to calculate risk-adjusted rates of survival to discharge during 2015-2019 (pre-pandemic period) versus 2020, 2021, and 2022.

Background: Hospitalized children experience mortality as a result of infections. Since the COVID-19 outbreak in early 2020, China's strict prevention measures have curbed pathogen transmission, altering infection-related epidemiology. The Futang Research Center of Pediatric Development has collected the face sheet of discharge medical records (FSMRs) data from 27 tertiary children's hospitals since January 2016, which facilitate us to investigate this issue.

Background: Measuring vital signs (VS) is important in potentially unwell children, as a change in VS may indicate a more serious infection than is clinically apparent or herald clinical deterioration. However, currently available methods are not suitable for regular measurement of VS in the home or community setting, and adherence can be poor. The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted a need for the contactless measurement of VS by nonclinical personnel, reinforced by the growing use of telemedicine.

Unlabelled: This study aims to examine the effects of physical activity, eating habits, sleep patterns, and media use on children's body composition during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the relationship of these factors with sarcopenic obesity (SO). This prospective cross-sectional study has involved 431 healthy male and female child participants aged between 6 and 10 years during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown period. The daily routines of participants, including their dietary habits, levels of physical activity, and media usage patterns, have been assessed.
