The surface of the eye is constantly exposed to the external environment and is affected by atmospheric conditions and air pollution, and dry eye is a typical ocular surface disease. The aim of this study is to determine whether there are seasonal differences in the number of dry eye operations in Japan and to investigate whether meteorological conditions and air pollutants are related to. The operations were examined using the National Database of Health Insurance Claims and Specific Health Checkups of Japan (NDB) database from fiscal years 2019 to 2021.

Metabolic syndrome, a cluster of conditions including obesity, hyperglycemia, hypertension, and dyslipidemia, is increasingly recognized for its association with kidney disease. However, the impact of metabolic syndrome on the long-term prognosis of IgA nephropathy(IgAN) remains understudied. From August 2009 to December 2018, we conducted a retrospective cohort study at the Department of Nephrology, General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University, involving 698 patients with primary IgAN identified by the initial renal biopsy.

To observe the structural changes of retina and choroid in patients with different degrees of myopia. We recruited 219 subjects with different degrees of myopia for best corrected visual acuity, computer refraction, intraocular pressure, axial length (AL), optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging, and other examinations. Central macular retinal thickness (CRT), subfoveal choroidal thickness (SFCT), nasal retinal thickness (NRT), temporal retinal thickness (TRT), nasal choroidal thickness (NCT) and temporal choroidal thickness (TCT) were measured by optical coherence tomography.
