In an effort to make pesticide use safer, more efficient, and sustainable, micro-/nanocarriers are increasingly being utilized in agriculture to deliver pesticide-active agents, thereby reducing quantities and improving effectiveness. In the use of nanopesticides, the choice to further design and prepare pesticide stimulus-responsive nanocarriers based on changes in the plant growth environment (light, temperature, pH, enzymes, etc.) has received more and more attention from researchers. Based on this, this paper examines recent advancements in nanomaterials for the design of stimulus-responsive micro-/nanocarriers. It delves into the intricacies of preparation methods, material enhancements, / controlled release, and application techniques for controlled release formulations. The aim is to provide a crucial reference for harnessing nanotechnology to pursue reduced pesticide use and increased efficiency.

Nanomaterials with unparalleled physical and chemical attributes have become a cornerstone in the field of nanomedicine delivery. These materials can be engineered into various functionalized nanocarriers, which have become the focus of research. Stimulus-responsive nanodrug delivery systems (SRDDS) stand out as a sophisticated class of nanocarriers that can release drugs in response to environmental cues.

A dual-mode detection platform utilizing colorimetric and Raman was developed based on the exponential amplification reaction (EXPAR) strategy and a "core-satellite" structure constructed by bimetallic nanozymes to detect chloramphenicol (CAP). Initially, DNA-gated metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) incorporating cascaded amplification were used to be nanocarriers for the colorimetric and Raman reporter molecules (3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbiphenyl; TMB). Subsequently, assembled DNA served as gatekeepers to create a stimulus-responsive DNA-gated MOF (TMB@DNA/MOF).

Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a serious global health concern, accounting for about 90% of all liver cancer instances. Surgical treatment is a fundamental aspect of HCC management; however, the challenge of postoperative recurrence significantly impacts mortality rates.
Methods: We have developed a pH and reactive oxygen species (ROS) dual stimulus-responsive drug delivery system (PN@GPB-PEG NPs) loaded with chemotherapeutic paclitaxel (PTX) and indoleamine 2.

Stimulus-responsive liposomes (L) are increasingly recognized for their potential in enhancing therapies, especially in cancer nanomedicine, owing to their ability to encapsulate drugs of diverse properties efficiently. In this study, a quality-by-design (QbD) strategy was proposed to optimize the surface functionalization of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) on doxorubicin (Dox)-loaded L intended for improving cancer treatment. Thin-film hydration and pH-gradient methods were applied for L preparation and Dox loading, respectively.

: Cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. The tumor microenvironment makes the tumor difficult to treat, favoring drug resistance and the formation of metastases, resulting in death. : Stimuli-responsive nanoparticles have shown great capacity to be used as a powerful strategy for cancer treatment, diagnostic, as well as theranostic.
