We report 3 patients with recurrences after stent-graft placement for arterio-visceral/arterio-luminal fistulas in long-term follow-up. Two patients had ureteroarterial fistulas and the other had a tracheo-innominate artery fistula. All 3 patients had hemorrhage on initial presentation and underwent a stent-graft placement for an arterio-visceral/arterio-luminal fistula. Recurrences occurred over a period of 8-26 months and were diagnosed by contrast-enhanced computed tomography; pseudoaneurysms were found in contrast-enhanced computed tomography images in all cases. Pseudoaneurysms may be noted on contrast-enhanced computed tomography as the only finding of recurrences during long-term follow-up after stent-graft placement for arterio-visceral/arterio-luminal fistulas.

Purpose: Our aim was to update evidence-based and consensus-based recommendations for the inhospital endovascular management of haemorrhage and vascular lesions in patients with multiple and/or severe injuries based on current evidence. This guideline topic is part of the 2022 update of the German Guideline on the Treatment of Patients with Multiple and/or Severe Injuries.
Methods: MEDLINE and Embase were systematically searched to June 2021.

With advancements in medical devices and imaging techniques, endovascular treatment using stent grafts has emerged as a viable and aggressive therapeutic option for traumatic subclavian artery injuries, including iatrogenic cases. Existing literature suggests that endovascular treatment is less invasive and offers hemostatic success rates comparable to traditional surgical methods. However, there is a paucity of case reports, necessitating further investigation into treatment indications and procedural challenges.

Suspicion of vascular injury during endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) should be raised in the event of intraprocedural bleeding, persistent hyperbilirubinemia, and sepsis despite biliary stenting. Most inadvertent portal vein (PV) cannulations during ERCP are innocuous, and mere withdrawal of guidewire and catheter suffices. However, unintentional PV stenting, particularly with larger metallic stents, increases the likelihood of significant bleeding.

Background: Hepatic artery infusion pump (HAIP) chemotherapy is a locoregional treatment for intrahepatic malignancies. HAIPs are surgically implanted, and the catheter tip is typically inserted into a ligated gastroduodenal artery stump. Potential complications at the catheter insertion site include dehiscence, pseudoaneurysm or extravasation, and adjacent hepatic arterial stenosis and thrombosis.

Background: Formation of local type aortic aneurysm years after surgical repair of coarctation (CoA) occurs in 10% of patients independent of the surgical technique and is a potentially life-threatening condition if left untreated with a high risk of aortic rupture. Redo open surgery is associated with 14% in-hospital mortality and a high risk of complications. Endovascular treatment appears to be a feasible alternative with a high success rate and low morbidity and mortality, but data concerning long-term results is still mandatory.
