Objective: The current research was done to assess microbial seepage of two types of internal implant-abutment connections.

Materials And Methods: Twenty dental implants are categorized into two groups. Group A fixtures with an internal hexagonal geometry and group B fixtures with a tri-lobe internal connection. All implant-abutment assemblies underwent a three-week incubation period at 37°C in sterile tubes containing 5 mL of broth culture. Through the use of Gram stain and biochemical processes, the resultant colonies were recognized.

Results: The mean Log colony forming unit (CFU) in group A was 8.4 and in group B was 7.2. The variation between both groups was found to be considerable ( < 0.05). Microgap was more in group B compared to group A.

Conclusion: Bacteria may infiltrate the small area between the implant and the abutment. Compared to dental implant fixtures with a tri-lobe internal connection, there was a noticeably higher Log10 CFU in dental implant fixtures with an internal hexagonal geometry.

Pheochromocytomas and paragangliomas (PPGLs) are rare neuroendocrine tumors derived from chromaffin cells, with 80-85% originating in the adrenal medulla and 15-20% from extra-adrenal chromaffin tissues (paragangliomas). Approximately 30-40% of PPGLs have a hereditary component, making them one of the most genetically predisposed tumor types. Recent advances in genetic research have classified PPGLs into three molecular clusters: pseudohypoxia-related, kinase-signaling, and -signaling pathway variants.

Background: Postmenopausal women are often affected by osteoporosis, a disorder that lowers bone density, increases the risk of fractures, and has a major negative influence on quality of life.

Objective: This study aimed to assess the efficacy of bisphosphonates in reducing fracture risk among postmenopausal women with osteoporosis by analyzing their impact across various fracture sites, treatment durations, and patient subgroups.

Methodology: A retrospective cohort research was conducted between January 2021 and December 2022 at Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC), Peshawar.

Coronary artery disease (CAD) remains a leading global cause of morbidity and mortality, underscoring the need for effective cardiovascular risk stratification and preventive strategies. Coronary artery calcium (CAC) scoring, traditionally performed using electrocardiogram (ECG)-gated cardiac computed tomography (CT) scans, has been widely validated as a robust tool for assessing cardiovascular risk. However, its application has been largely limited to high-risk populations due to the costs, technical requirements, and limited accessibility of cardiac CT scans.

Pulmonary embolism is a common cause of morbidity and mortality. Numerous risk factors have been identified that predispose patients to this disease. This study aims to identify these risk factors and the possible outcomes (recovery or mortality) after receiving treatment from any hospital.

Background: Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome (LEMS) is an autoimmune disorder of the presynaptic neuromuscular junction associated with antibody mediated dysfunction of voltage-gated calcium channels (VGCCs). LEMS can exist as a paraneoplastic syndrome, paraneoplastic-LEMS (P-LEMS), when associated with tumors, most commonly, small cell lung carcinoma (SCLC) or as a non-paraneoplastic condition (NP-LEMS) when no malignancies are detected.

Methods: A retrospective chart review was conducted in 3 tertiary hospitals in Saudi Arabia for patients diagnosed with LEMS between January 2010 and January 2020.
