Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) are monoclonal antibodies that target immune checkpoint inhibitory receptors. They have revolutionised cancer treatment but can be associated with a wide range of adverse side effects. Rarely, they can be associated with the triad of myositis, myasthenia gravis, and myocarditis or overlap syndrome. Prompt recognition and early intervention are needed to treat these potentially life-threatening conditions. We report a case series of patients with ICI-related overlap syndrome, including the first with avelumab, and discuss the current management guidelines.

Predicting the risks of progression to chronic kidney disease (CKD) stage 5 in idiopathic nephrotic syndrome (NS) and recurrence of the disease (rNS) following kidney transplantation (KT) is a key assessment to provide essential management information. NS has been categorized etiologically as genetic and immune-based. A genetic cause can be identified in ~ 30% of children with steroid-resistant NS (SRNS), a finding associated with a very low risk of rNS following KT.

Background: Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) is a complex form of dysautonomia that presents with abnormal autonomic reflexes upon standing, leading to symptoms such as lightheadedness, tachycardia, fatigue, and cognitive impairment. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought renewed attention to POTS due to its overlap with post-acute sequelae of COVID-19 (PASC). Studies have found that a substantial percentage of COVID-19 survivors exhibit symptoms resembling POTS, elevating POTS diagnoses to previously unseen levels.

A consistent area of interest since the beginning of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) pandemic has been the sequence composition of the virus and how it has changed over time. Many resources have been developed for the storage and analysis of SARS-CoV-2 data, such as GISAID (Global Initiative on Sharing All Influenza Data), NCBI, Nextstrain, and outbreak.info.

We report the case of a 15-year-old girl who presented with a 2-month history of severe fatigue and rapidly worsening myalgia. Biological tests revealed hypereosinophilia and an inflammatory syndrome. MRI showed increased signal intensity in the superficial and deep aponeurotic layers on T2-weighted images, with moderate fascia enhancement after contrast administration.
