To analyze the morphologic changes and the extent of severity in end-stage heart disease; and to explore the correlation with their clinical features. Twelve cases of recipients who underwent pediatric cardiac allograft transplantation were collected from May 2022 to November 2023 at the Seventh Medical Center of People's Liberation Army of China General Hospital. Gross pathologic examinations were performed and morphological changes were observed under a light microscope after HE, Masson's trichrome, and reticulin staining.

Introduction: We examined the association of blood eosinophil counts at the time of AECOPD hospitalization with the risk of ICU admission as well as the hospital lengths of stay and mortality.
Methods: In the current retrospective study, the association between blood eosinophil counts in COPD patients at the time of AECOPD hospitalization and the risk of subsequent ICU admission as well as mortality was assessed. The chi-squared test and t-test were used to compare categorical and continuous variables.
Uncontrolled asthma is Associated with Increased Visceral Adipose Tissue, Decreased Bone Mineral Content, and Reduced Exercise Capacity.

Introduction: Physical inactivity due to shortness of breath is common among patients with uncontrolled asthma. We evaluated the body mass composition and exercise capacity of patients with poorly controlled asthma, despite maximal inhalation therapy.
Methods: We recruited 56 patients from the Asthma Clinic of the University Hospital of Liège between September 2020 and December 2023, and 14 healthy subjects.
The present study aimed to evaluate the histologic, histochemical, and immunohistochemical changes in buffalo livers with cystic echinococcosis. Noninfected and infected livers were collected from the freshly slaughtered buffalo at the Aligarh abattoir. Small pieces of both infected and noninfected livers ( = 5) were cut and processed for histologic and histochemical studies.
