Background: Despite its widespread use, the adverse effects (AEs) of memantine have not been well documented, and there is a need to find new ways to analyze the AEs of memantine.
Research Design And Methods: AEs in which the primary suspected drug was memantine were retrieved from the FAERS database. The proportional report ratio (PRR), reporting odds ratio (ROR), Bayesian confidence propagation neural network (BCPNN), and empirical Bayesian geometric mean (EBGM) were used to detect potential positive signals between memantine and AEs. SAS, MySQL, EXCEL, and R language software were used for data processing and statistical analysis.
Results: This study gathered a total of 5808 reports of AEs associated with memantine. Of these reports, a greater proportion of female patients (51.17%) than male patients (36.33%) had AEs. The AEs reported by FAERS were mainly in psychiatric category ( = 2157, IC025 = 2.69), various neurologic disorders ( = 1608, IC025 = 2.04), systemic disorders and various site reactions ( = 842, IC025 = 1.29). Unexpected ocular adverse events have been reported, ophthalmic vein thrombosis ( = 4, IC025 = 3.47) and scleral discolouration ( = 7, IC025 = 3.1), which may worsen glaucoma.
Conclusions: This study observed conceivable new AEs signals and may supply important assist for scientific monitoring and threat identification of memantine.

Objective: To evaluate the feasibility, safety, and efficacy of microwave ablation (MWA) for the treatment of patients with Bethesda IV follicular neoplasms (FNs) (≤3 cm).
Methods: In the retrospective study, patients who underwent MWA for Bethesda IV follicular neoplasms (≤3 cm) were included. Technical success, volume reduction, disease progression, and adverse event (AE) rates were analyzed postablation.

Objective: We aimed to develop a highly interpretable and effective, machine-learning based risk prediction algorithm to predict in-hospital mortality, intubation and adverse cardiovascular events in patients hospitalised with COVID-19 in Australia (AUS-COVID Score).
Materials And Methods: This prospective study across 21 hospitals included 1714 consecutive patients aged ≥ 18 in their index hospitalization with COVID-19. The dataset was separated into training (80%) and test sets (20%).

Background: Fecal microbiota, live-jslm (RBL; REBYOTA®), is the first single-dose, broad consortia, microbiota-based live biotherapeutic approved by the US Food and Drug Administration to prevent recurrent Clostridioides difficile infection (rCDI) in adults following standard-of-care antimicrobials. Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a common risk factor for rCDI, yet patients with IBD are often excluded from prospective trials. This subgroup analysis of PUNCH CD3-OLS (NCT03931941) evaluated the safety and efficacy of RBL in participants with rCDI and IBD.

Context: The efficacy of probiotics and diet management in irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is controversial, and their relative effectiveness remains unclear.
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the effects of probiotics, diet management, and their combination on IBS.
Data Sources: PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, and Web of Science were searched from inception to July 10, 2023, for relevant studies, including symptom relief, IBS-symptom severity score (-SSS), and IBS-quality of life measure (-QOL).

Objective: To evaluate the feasibility and tolerance of ultra-hypofractionated SABR (stereotactic ablative radiation therapy) protocol following radical prostatectomy.
Patients And Methods: We included patients undergoing adjuvant or salvage SABR between April 2019 and April 2023 targeting the surgical bed and pelvic lymph nodes up to a total dose of 36.25 Gy (7.
