Herein we report the reactivity study of -carborane-fused bis(trimethylsilyl)aminoborirane towards three different types of organic azides, , aryl, alkyl, and silyl azides. The reaction with ArN (Ar = 2,6-iPrCH, 2,6-CHCl, 2,4,6-CHBr, CF) resulted in the cycloaddition of ArN to the borirane BN unit accompanied by silyl migration. Conversely, in the reaction with BnN, only the BnN : borirane 1 : 2 ring expansion product was obtained. Finally, the reaction with MeSiN resulted in a formal nitrene insertion product under thermal conditions. All of the newly obtained -carborane-fused BN-containing heterocycles were fully characterized, and the mechanism of these substituent-dependent reactions was studied using DFT calculations.

Although cisplatin is widely used as a first-line chemotherapy agent, it has significant side effects. Herein, we synthesized a Pt(II) complex (Pt1) derived from o-vanillin-4-phenylthiosemicarbazone ligand, and confirmed its crystal structure by X-ray crystallography. Complex Pt1 exhibited potent anticancer activity against various tested cancer cell lines, with particular efficacy against HepG-2 cells.

The need for accurate and simultaneous diagnosis of multiple respiratory infectious diseases has become increasingly critical due to ongoing viral mutations and the similarity of symptoms among various viruses. Here, we have advanced our detection capabilities by developing a multiplex lateral flow immunoassay (LFA) platform that integrates oligonucleotides and antibodies, enabling the simultaneous detection of five respiratory viruses: Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), Influenza A (FluA), Influenza B (FluB), Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), and Adenovirus (ADV), on a single membrane. By applying the oligonucleotide and antibody-conjugated AuNPs, the platform enables highly sensitive and specific detection.

CMV has been implicated in atherosclerosis in healthy adults, and a role in PLWH is plausible. Atherosclerosis has also been linked with γδ T cells and CMV seropositivity with altered γδ T cell profiles in other populations.
