On-orbit servicing using a space robot is gaining popularity among the space community for both economic and safety aspects. In particular, the estimation of the relative motion of a noncooperative target is a challenging problem. This study presents a relative motion estimation scheme based on stereovision for noncooperative targets considering multiple solutions of rotational parameters. Specifically, the mass distribution of the target is identified based on the least-square method and the principle of conservation of angular momentum. Then, the determination of a unique principal axis coordinate frame of the target is employed to resolve the multiple-solution problem. In addition, an EKF (extended Kalman filter)-based filter with global observability is designed to estimate the full motion states and inertia parameters of the target. The convergence performance of the proposed method is verified by numerical simulation. The results also demonstrate that the method is robust to occlusion.

Objectives: Pancreatic diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) has numerous clinical applications, but conventional single-shot methods suffer from off resonance-induced artifacts like distortion and blurring while cardiovascular motion-induced phase inconsistency leads to quantitative errors and signal loss, limiting its utility. Multishot DWI (msDWI) offers reduced image distortion and blurring relative to single-shot methods but increases sensitivity to motion artifacts. Motion-compensated diffusion-encoding gradients (MCGs) reduce motion artifacts and could improve motion robustness of msDWI but come with the cost of extended echo time, further reducing signal.

We explore the efficacy of multimodal behavioral cues for explainable prediction of personality and interview-specific traits. We utilize elementary head-motion units named kinemes, atomic facial movements termed action units and speech features to estimate these human-centered traits. Empirical results confirm that kinemes and action units enable discovery of multiple trait-specific behaviors while also enabling explainability in support of the predictions.

Background: Revision total elbow arthroplasty (rTEA) remains a technically challenging procedure with potential for substantial morbidity. Cases involving excessively long cement mantles, removal of well-fixed implants or infected revisions requiring complete cement removal introduce additional technical challenges. Our purpose was to describe the outcomes, results, and complications associated with the use of cortical windows in rTEA.

Our case report characterizes a rare presentation of mid-ventricular Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TTC) in a patient with suspected myocarditis as an underlying cause. Mid-ventricular TTC is a rare variant of TTC presenting with overlapping symptoms and physical exam findings of acute coronary syndrome, which often leads to misdiagnosis as myocardial infarction. Our case is of a 77-year-old female patient with a history of hyperlipidemia, right breast ductal carcinoma in situ, and diverticular disease who presented to the emergency department for evaluation of chest pain radiating to the jaw with associated nausea and vomiting.

This work considers a stochastic form of an extended version of the Kairat-II equation by adding Browning motion into the deterministic equation. Two analytical approaches are utilized to derive analytical solutions of the modified equation. The first method is the modified Tanh technique linked with the Riccati equation, which is implemented to extract some closed-form solutions in the form of tangent and cotangent functions.
