Article Abstract
Cystic echinococcosis (CE) is a global health concern caused by cestodes, posing diagnostic challenges due to nonspecific symptoms and inconclusive radiographic results. Diagnosis relies on histopathological evaluation of affected tissue, demanding comprehensive tools. In this retrospective case study, Fourier transform infrared microscopy was explored for detecting and identifying CE through biochemical changes in human tissue sections. Tissue samples from 11 confirmed CE patients were analyzed. Archived FFPE blocks were cut and stained, and then CE-positive unstained sections were examined using Fourier transform infrared microscopy post-deparaffinization. Results revealed the method's ability to distinguish echinococcus elements from human tissue, irrespective of organ type. This research showcases the potential of mid-infrared microscopy as a valuable diagnostic tool for CE, offering promise in enhancing diagnostic precision in the face of the disease's complexities.

Cholesterol (Cho) is commonly used to stabilize nanoliposomes; however, there is controversy on the relationship between Cho and health. In this study, we developed a novel multifunctional nanoliposome utilizing structurally similar sitogluside (SG) and dioscin (Dio) instead of Cho to anchor the phospholipid bilayer and synergistically modulate the membrane properties of the nanoliposome (DPPC or DOPC). The storage and gastrointestinal tract stability experiment demonstrated that the changes of physical and chemical properties, including the significantly reduced size and Dio retention rate of nanoliposomes synergistically modulated by SG and Dio compared to those of SG alone, regulated nanoliposomes.

This involves determining its structural, physicochemical, and thermal properties, as well as evaluating its antimicrobial activity against a range of bacterial strains, including multidrug-resistant pathogens. The aim is to explore the potential of this compound as a candidate for developing new antibacterial agents to address the challenge of antibiotic resistance.

To explore the effects of the components in the raw materials and by-products of co-pyrolysis on the physicochemical properties of biochar, rice husk （RH, which has a high percentage of lignin and a low content of N） and sawdust （SD, which has a high percentage of both cellulose and N） were used as typical raw materials to prepare co-pyrolysis biochar. The benzene vapor adsorption performance of the obtained biochar was then tested on a fixed-bed device. Replacing traditional plastic mulch with fully biodegradable mulch is an important research direction to solve the problem of "white pollution," but whether it can truly realize biodegradation is still the focus of many scholars. In this study, field and indoor experiments were carried out in Pingluo County, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, using poly（butyleneadipate-co-terephthalate） （PBAT） fully biodegradable mulch film and ordinary polyethylene （PE） mulch film, with no mulch film （CK） as the control. Macroscopic characteristics such as the degree of apparent cracking of the mulch film, loss of the mulch film area, and the rate of weight loss were observed, and the results were combined with the results of scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy （FTIR）, and thermogravimetry （TGR）.
