Introduction: Maintaining the balance between procoagulant and anticoagulant factors is essential for effective haemostasis. Emerging evidence suggests a modulation of bleeding tendency by factors in the anticoagulant and fibrinolytic systems.
Aim: This study investigates the clinical and laboratory characteristics of a family with combined von Willebrand disease (VWD) and antithrombin (AT) deficiency.

Objective: Our study successfully developed an assay kit for thrombin-antithrombin complex (TAT) and demonstrated the predictive value of plasma TAT concentration in the development of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in patients with cervical cancer.
Method: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 177 patients with cervical cancer who received treatment at the Affiliated Hospital of Jiangnan University in Wuxi City from July 1, 2023 to October 1, 2023. This study provides a comprehensive analysis of cervical cancer patients and their VTE risk factors.

Venous thrombosis is a leading cause of morbidity/mortality and associated with deficiencies of the anticoagulant protein C (PC, PROC) and its cofactor, protein S (PS, PROS1). Heterozygous mutations increase the risk of adult-onset thrombosis, while homozygous mutations result in pre/neonatal lethal thrombosis. PC- and PS-deficient patient phenotypes are generally considered clinically indistinguishable.

Antithrombin (AT) is an anticoagulant serpin involved in the regulation of proteolytic activities of coagulation proteases. AT also possesses a direct anti-inflammatory function. The anticoagulant function of AT is mediated through its reactive-center loop (RCL)-dependent inhibition of coagulation proteases, but anti-inflammatory function of AT is mediated via its D-helix-dependent interaction with vascular glycosaminoglycans (GAGs).

Context: Studies describing the coagulation profile in adrenal adenomas still need to be added.
Objective: We explored how sex and mild autonomous cortisol secretion (MACS) affect coagulation parameters in patients with adrenal adenomas.
Design: Cross-sectional study.
