With escape games gaining in popularity, we decided to adapt the concept of an existing medical escape game to the needs of our family medicine residents, by simulating clinical situations and creating puzzles with medical content. This activity was a fun way to integrate theoretical learning while developing a number of CanMEDS roles. Overall, the residents were very satisfied with the topics chosen and the interactive aspect of the experience. This escape game requires few resources, is adaptable to different environments and can be adjusted according to students' needs.

Background: Many efforts to increase the uptake of e-mental health (eMH) have failed due to a lack of knowledge and skills, particularly among professionals. To train health care professionals in technology, serious gaming concepts such as educational escape rooms are increasingly used, which could also possibly be used in mental health care. Accurate classification of logos is a challenging task in image recognition due to variations in logo size, orientation, and background complexity. Deep learning models, such as VGG16, have demonstrated promising results in handling such tasks. Background: Escape rooms (ERs), immersive role-playing games that require participants to solve a series of puzzles within a set time to achieve a specific goal, have gained popularity as innovative educational tools.
Methods: A systematic review was conducted using the PRISMA guidelines, a comprehensive search of PubMed, Cochrane, Web of Science, and Scopus, for articles published between inception of journals to April 2024, focusing on the integration, outcomes, and participants' perceptions of ERs in medical and veterinary education.
Results: A total of 619 articles were retrieved, of which 12 articles met the inclusion criteria for final analysis.
