This study presents a comprehensive method for detecting debonding defects in concrete-filled steel tube (CFST) structures using wave propagation analysis with externally attached piezoelectric ceramic sensors. Experimental tests and numerical simulations were conducted to evaluate the sensitivity and accuracy of two measurement techniques-the flat and oblique measurement methods-in detecting debonding defects of varying lengths and heights. The results demonstrate that the flat measurement method excels in detecting debonding height, while the oblique method is more effective for detecting debonding length.

This article presents an evaluation of the accelerated aging impact on the structural properties of biodegradable PLA/HAp implants produced using 3D printing technology for use in traumatic bone defect repairs in individual patients. The designed biodegradable implants were sterilized with a radiation dose of 25 ± 0.99% kGy, then exposed to an accelerated aging process.

Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-related mortality globally, with a poor prognosis primarily due to late diagnosis and limited treatment options. This research highlights the critical demand for advanced prognostic tools by creating a model centered on aging-related genes (ARGs) to improve prediction and treatment strategies for lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). By leveraging datasets from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO), we developed a prognostic model that integrates 14 ARGs using the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) alongside Cox regression analyses.

The nuclear envelope (NE), a protective membrane bordering the nucleus, is composed of highly specialized proteins that are indispensable for normal cellular activity. Lamina-associated polypeptide 1 (LAP1) is a NE protein whose functions are just beginning to be unveiled. The fact that mutations causing LAP1 deficiency are extremely rare and pathogenic is indicative of its paramount importance to preserving human health, anticipating that LAP1 might have a multifaceted role in the cell.

A primary challenge following severe musculoskeletal trauma is incomplete muscle regeneration. Current therapies often fail to heal damaged muscle due to dysregulated healing programs and insufficient revascularization early in the repair process. There is a limited understanding of the temporal changes that occur during the early stages of muscle remodeling in response to engineered therapies.
