The Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP)-wrapped steel pipeline system is emerging as an alternative for the repair and long-distance transportation of oil and gas. This system is recognized as a composite material. Under internal pressure, the pipe predominantly undergoes circumferential stretching. This study derives the tensile constitutive model of the steel-CFRP composite material using uniaxial tensile tests and the rule of mixtures. Subsequently, utilizing this newly calibrated constitutive model, a computational model to assess the internal pressure capacity of the steel-carbon fiber composite pipe was established. Finally, a comparison between the theoretical outcomes of the computational model and the actual internal pressure test results revealed a high degree of correlation. This holds substantial significance for the design and practical implementation of this novel composite pipeline system.

This paper presents an analytical solution derived with force method for the internal forces in the ring lining of maglev train tunnels, which are typically in a circular section and shallowly buried with low vacuum air pressure in the lining. The model incorporates the vacuum pressure induced by the differences in air pressures outside and inside the lining, and the vacuum pressure is assumed to be the active load exerting to the outside of the lining. The model assumes the vertical overburden acting on the lining is proportional to the soil depth at every particular point along the tunnel lining circumference.

The urban agglomeration represents the predominant form of new urbanisation, yet the evolution of its internal spatial structure exhibits pronounced spatial and temporal heterogeneity. This study concentrates on the Bohai Rim urban agglomeration, one of three major urban agglomerations in China, which has received comparatively limited research attention but has also undergone substantial urbanisation. Therefore, we reassessed and explored the spatial-temporal evolution of the spatial structure of urban expansion using Exploratory Spatiotemporal Data Analysis (ESTDA), and summarized the driving mechanisms using Geographically and Temporally Weighted Regression (GTWR).

Background: Patients with type 1 diabetes (DM1), even in the setting of adequate glycaemic control, have an excess risk for developing cardiovascular disease. Residual insulin secretion (RIS), measured by detectable C-peptide levels in patients with DM1, might protect against diabetes-related complications. This study aimed to examine the relationship between residual insulin secretion and prognostic markers of cardiovascular complications in patients with DM1.

With the widespread use of typical antibiotics such as sulfamethazine (SMT), it leads to their accumulation in the environment, increasing the risk of the spread of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs). Aerobic granular sludge (AGS) has shown great potential in treating antibiotic wastewater. However, the long cultivation period of AGS, the easy disintegration of particles and the poor stability of degradation efficiency for highly concentrated antibiotic wastewater are still urgent problems that need to be solved, and it is important to explore the migration and changes of ARGs and microbial diversity in AGS systems.

Under confining pressure, rocks transition from brittle failure to plastic failure, and residual strength exists after complete failure. However, in the process of establishing rock damage constitutive models, the strength criteria used usually do not consider residual stress. In cold region engineering, the freeze-thaw effect caused by temperature changes should be considered in the constitutive model, and strength criteria should also be introduced.
