Background: Despite prompt reperfusion, the risk of adverse clinical outcomes following ST-segment-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) remains pronounced, owing partly to suboptimal reperfusion. However, coronary functional evaluation is seldom feasible during primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PPCI). We aimed to examine the clinical implication of a simple coronary assessment based on single-angiographic view (μQFR) during PPCI in discriminating impaired coronary flow and adverse outcomes for STEMI.

Background: The relationship of layered plaque detected by optical coherence tomography (OCT) with coronary inflammation and coronary flow reserve (CFR) remains elusive. We aimed to investigate the association of OCT-defined layered plaque with pericoronary adipose tissue (PCAT) inflammation assessed by coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) and global (G)-CFR assessed by cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS).
Methods: We retrospectively investigated 88 patients with first ACS who underwent preprocedural CCTA, OCT imaging of the culprit lesion prior to primary/urgent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), and postprocedural CMR.

Background: Aneurysm compression, diabetes, and traumatic brain injury are well-known causative factors of oculomotor nerve palsy (ONP), while cases of ONP induced by neurovascular conflicts have rarely been reported in the medical community. Here, we report a typical case of ONP caused by right posterior cerebral artery (PCA) compression to increase neurosurgeons' awareness of the disease and reduce misdiagnosis and recurrence.
Case Summary: A 54-year-old man without a known medical history presented with right ONP for the past 5 years.
