Aeromonas spp. are opportunistic pathogens that cause both intra- and extraintestinal infections. The objective of this work was the phenotypic and genotypic characterization of a collection of Aeromonas strains, in addition to determining their sensitivity to different antimicrobials.

Analyzing the distribution characteristics of allergen sIgE in the serum of patients with respiratory and skin mucosal diseases in Shanghai City, and to provide epidemiological characteristics and diagnostic basis for the prevention and treatment of allergic respiratory and dermo-mucous diseases in Shanghai City. Adopting cross-sectional research, a total of 3 822 patients who received treatment in Tongren Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine from July 2022 to July 2023 due to respiratory diseases or skin and dermo-mucous symptoms were included. Among them, there were 1 456 males and 2 366 females, with an age range of 1-97 years old.

Transdermal drug delivery presents numerous advantages over conventional administration routes, including non-invasiveness, enhanced patient adherence, circumvention of hepatic first-pass metabolism, self-administration capabilities, controlled release, and increased bioavailability. Nevertheless, the barrier function of stratum corneum limits this strategy to molecules possessing requisite physicochemical attributes. To expand the field of transdermal delivery, researchers have pioneered physical enhancement techniques, with micron-sized needles emerging as a particularly promising platform for the transdermal and intradermal delivery of therapeutic agents across a spectrum of molecular sizes.

Oleic acid liposomes (OALs) are novel vesicular carriers ofunsaturated fatty acids and their corresponding ionized species, arranged within an enclosed lipid bilayer. This study aimed to encapsulate moxifloxacin HCl (MOX), a broad-spectrum antibacterial drug into OALs for effective treatment of Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection through topical application. Various OALs were formulatedby combining varied quantities of phosphatidylcholine (PC), oleic acid (OA), and cholesterol (CH) with 50 mg of MOX.

Aim: This study focuses on the design and investigation a transethosomal formulation for enhanced topical delivery and improved analgesic activity of caryophyllene oxide. In addition, this work explores new potential mechanisms of analgesic activity of the active compound including alpha-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isooxazole-propionic acid (AMPA) and Cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2).
Methods: The transethosomal system containing various caryophyllene concentrations was prepared.
