Purpose: The purpose of this study was to gain teachers' insight and evaluate a teacher training intervention on movement integration (MI).

Methods: An embedded mixed methods study was used to combine post-intervention qualitative and quantitative data from 12 teachers.

Results: Four themes were generated: employable strategies, increased student engagement, value of additional support, and space, time, and behaviour management. These themes illustrate the intrapersonal, institutional, and public policy barriers that impact MI implementation.

Conclusion: An evidence-based teacher MI implementation intervention that utilizes best practices can address intrapersonal barriers to MI use but does not alleviate institutional and public policy barriers.

Isocitrate dehydrogenase 1/2 mutant (IDHmt) astrocytoma is considered a T cell-deprived tumor, yet little is known regarding the phenotypes underlying T cell exclusion. Using bulk, single nucleus and spatial RNA and protein profiling, we demonstrate that a distinct spatial organization underlies T cell confinement to the perivascular space (T cell cuff) in IDHmt astrocytoma. T cell cuffs are uniquely characterized by a high abundance of gemistocytic tumor cells (GTC) in the surrounding stroma.

The effect of Constraint-induced movement therapy (CIMT) or Intermittent theta-burst stimulation (iTBS) alone is limited in improving motor function after a stroke. In this study, we explored the efficacy and possible mechanisms in combination of CIMT and iTBS through behavioral evaluation, RNA sequencing, Golgi staining, transmission electronic microscope (TEM), high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), western blotting (WB) and immunofluorescence. Firstly, we observed that combination therapy is safe and effective, and it can significantly reduce the number of immature dendritic spines and increase the number of functional dendritic spines, the amount of glutamate (Glu) and the expression of Glu1 receptor (Glu1R).

Article Synopsis
  • Multimodal sensing using soft body dynamics is essential for controlling soft robotic movements, particularly through the imitation of whisker dynamics.
  • The study introduces a multitasking electronic brush (e-brush) featuring four integrated pressure sensors capable of monitoring motion parameters like speed, force, slip, and surface interactions with low pressure sensitivity.
  • A reservoir computing algorithm is employed to accurately extract and analyze these motion parameters, successfully demonstrating the brush's ability to track handwriting movements as a proof of concept.

Nanotechnology and 3D bioprinted scaffolds are revolutionizing the field of wound healing and skin regeneration. By facilitating proper cellular movement and providing a customizable structure that replicates the extracellular matrix, such technologies not only expedite the healing process but also ensure the seamless integration of new skin layers, enhancing tissue repair and promoting overall cell growth. This study centres on the creation and assessment of a nanostructured lipid carrier containing curcumin (CNLC), which is integrated into a 3D bioprinted PLA scaffold system.

Slow transit constipation (STC) is a colonic motor disorder characterized by a marked delay in the movement of substances through the colon. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is a treasure trove of natural compounds, which is effective in treating constipation with relatively minor side effects. Zengye decoction (ZYD), a classic herbal formula in TCM, is used for moistening the intestines and relieving constipation.
