Medical image segmentation is essential for accurately representing tissues and organs in scans, improving diagnosis, guiding treatment, enabling quantitative analysis, and advancing AI-assisted healthcare. Organs and lesion areas in medical images have complex geometries and spatial relationships. Due to variations in the size and location of lesion areas, automatic segmentation faces significant challenges.

Introduction: In recent years, advancements in technology and the refinement of engineering techniques have facilitated the development of tissue engineering, placing particular emphasis on the use of 3D-biomaterials with several structural and chemical geometric features. In particular, increasing information on biomaterial geometric surfaces has allowed for a better understanding of tissue regenerative processes. In the present study a comparison between BioRipar, bovine pericardium membrane, modified with micrometric roundish regular open pores (BioR-Ps) and BioRipar without pores (BioR-NPs) has been investigated.

Mycosis fungoides (MF) is the most common type of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma that is difficult to be differentiated from other dermatological diseases. Dermoscopy is an easy and non-invasive office procedure that is widely used nowadays in the diagnosis of a wide variety of skin diseases. This prospective study aimed to describe and to differentiate the dermoscopic pattern of different stages and to compare the dermoscopic features observed in different clinical types of mycosis fungoides.
