Lysosomes play a central role in biochemical signal transduction and oxidative stress in cells. Inducing lysosome membrane penetration (LMP) to cause lysosomal-dependent cell death (LCD) in tumor cells is an effective strategy for cancer therapy. Chemical drugs can destroy the stability of lysosomes by neutralizing protons within the lysosomes or enhancing the fragility of the lysosomal membranes. However, there remain several unsolved problems of traditional drugs in LMP induction due to insufficient lysosomal targeting, fast metabolism, and toxicity in normal cells. With the development of nanotechnology, magnetic nanoparticles have been demonstrated to target lysosomes naturally, providing a versatile tool for lysosomal modulation. Combined with excellent tissue penetration and spatiotemporal manipulability of magnetic fields, magnetic modulation of lysosomes progresses rapidly in inducing LMP and LCD for cancer therapy. This review comprehensively discussed the strategies of magnetic modulation of lysosomes for cancer therapy. The intrinsic mechanisms of LMP-induced LCD were first introduced. Then, the modulation of lysosomes by diverse physical outputs of magnetic fields was emphatically discussed. Looking forward, this review will shed the light on the prospect of magnetic modulation of lysosomes, inspiring future research of magnetic modulation strategy in cancer therapy. We detect a single spin nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) by monitoring the intensity modulations of a selected hyperfine line in the electron spin resonance (ESR) spectrum. We analyse the power spectrum of the corresponding hyperfine intensity and obtain the nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrum. Our process also demonstrates ionization of a molecule with the bias voltage of a Scanning Tunnelling Microscope (STM), allowing detection of NMR even in molecules that are non-radical in their neutral state.

Background&aims: Lifestyle-induced weight reduction remains crucial for managing type 2 diabetes and steatotic liver disease, but its effectiveness varies. We postulated that the G allele in the rs738409 single nucleotide polymorphism within patatin-like phospholipase domain-containing protein 3 (PNPLA3), which associates with metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease, also modulates diet-related metabolic effects.
Methods: Participants with type 2 diabetes were randomized to 8-week hypocaloric diets (energy intake: -1,256 kJ/d of, <30 kcal% fat): high in cereal fiber and coffee excluding red meat (HF-RM + C; n = 16), or low in cereal fiber, devoid of coffee, but high in red meat (LF + RM-C; n = 15).

Background: Convulsive therapies are often effective for Treatment-Resistant Depression (TRD), although their mechanisms of action are unclear. Increases in Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) levels are observed after Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), but more recent evidence calls this claim into question. Moreover, Magnetic Seizure Therapy (MST), a new convulsive technique, has not yet been studied regarding possible neurotrophic modulation.

Background: Magnetic resonance-guided adaptive radiation therapy (MRgART) systems combine Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology with linear accelerators (LINAC) to enhance the precision and efficacy of cancer treatment. These systems enable real-time adjustments of treatment plans based on the latest patient anatomy, creating an urgent need for accurate and rapid dose calculation algorithms. Traditional CT-based dose calculations and ray-tracing (RT) processes are time-consuming and may not be feasible for the online adaptive workflow required in MRgART.
