The copper-based materials were considered as promising catalysts for the activation of peroxydisulfate (PDS), but the study on the CuS-activated PDS under LED illumination and alkaline condition was little reported. In this work, CuS, a simple and readily available heterogeneous catalyst, was employed to enhance the activation of PDS under alkaline condition through LED illumination. The results indicated that under LED illumination, the degradation rate of tetracycline (TC) during the first 15 min was 3.

Purpose: Monitoring radiation dose and time parameters during radiological interventions is crucial, especially in neurointerventional procedures, such as aneurysm treatment with embolization coils. The algorithm presented detects the presence of these embolization coils in medical images. It establishes a bounding box as a reference for automated collimation, with the primary objective being to enhance the efficiency and safety of neurointerventional procedures by actively optimizing image quality while minimizing patient dose.

The investigations of real industrial wastewater, such as palm oil mill effluent (POME), as a recalcitrant pollutant remain a subject of global water pollution concern. Thus, this work introduced the preparation and modification of g-CN and WO at optimum calcination temperature, where they were used as potent visible light-driven photocatalysts in the degradation of POME under visible light irradiation. Herein, g-CN-derived melamine and WO photocatalyst were obtained at different calcination temperatures in order to tune their light absorption ability and optoelectronics properties.
