Wheat is a crucial crop worldwide, and accurate detection and counting of wheat spikes are vital for yield estimation and breeding. However, these tasks are daunting in complex field environments. To tackle this, we introduce RIA-SpikeNet, a model designed to detect and count wheat spikes in such conditions.

Background: Urgent solutions are needed in cities to mitigate twin crises of global climate change and biodiversity loss. Urban nature-based solutions (actions that protect, sustainably manage, and restore ecosystems while simultaneously providing human wellbeing and biodiversity benefits) are being advocated for as multi-functional tools capable of tackling these societal challenges. Urban forest management is a proposed nature-based solution with potential to address both climate change mitigation and biodiversity loss along with multiple other benefits.

In hemi-mandibulectomy patients, the fabrication of a successful prosthesis is a challenging task. Segmental resection of the mandible causes deviation toward the resected side resulting in facial disfigurement, difficulty in speech, mastication, swallowing, respiration, and restricted mandibular movements. Such a condition affects the daily life of the patient and might also result in a disturbed psychological state.

Understanding the evolving nature of coronary hemodynamics is crucial for early disease detection and monitoring progression. We require digital twins that mimic a patient's circulatory system by integrating continuous physiological data and computing hemodynamic patterns over months. Current models match clinical flow measurements but are limited to single heartbeats.
