Objective: This study investigated spaced transcranial direct current stimulation for major depressive disorder, focusing on feasibility.
Methods: In a prospective open-label study, 30 participants with major depressive disorder were enrolled to receive a 50-session transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) treatment over 2 weeks. The feasibility, safety, tolerability, and preliminary therapeutic effects of this tDCS protocol were assessed using the 17-item Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAM-D-17) and the Montgomery-Åsberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS) at baseline and 1-week and 4-week follow-ups, as well as with the 6-item HAM-D (HAM-D-6) daily during treatment.

Modularly organizing active micromachines into high-grade metamachines makes a great leap for operating the microscopic world in a biomimetic way. However, modulating the nonreciprocal interactions among different colloidal motors through chemical reactions to achieve the controllable construction of active colloidal metamachines with specific dynamic properties remains challenging. Here, we report the phototactic active colloidal metamachines constructed by shape-directed dynamic self-assembly of chemically driven peanut-shaped TiO colloidal motors and Janus spherical Pt/SiO colloidal motors.

This paper presents a novel soft crawling robot controlled by gesture recognition, aimed at enhancing the operability and adaptability of soft robots through natural human-computer interactions. The Leap Motion sensor is employed to capture hand gesture data, and Unreal Engine is used for gesture recognition. Using the UE4Duino, gesture semantics are transmitted to an Arduino control system, enabling direct control over the robot's movements.

Background: Randomized data suggest improved survival with adjuvant chemotherapy for biliary tract cancers; however, subset analyses of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (IHC) show limited survival benefit. This study evaluated the impact of adjuvant chemotherapy on recurrence patterns and overall survival (OS) in patients with resected IHC.
Methods: Patients who underwent curative-intent resection for IHC were identified within a bi-institutional dataset and the National Cancer Database (NCDB).
