: The aim of this study was to investigate the incidence of vertebral refractures following percutaneous kyphoplasty (PKP) and to explore risk factors for augmented vertebral refractures, thereby assisting spinal surgeons in clinical practice. : We analyzed the records of 495 patients with single-segment osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures (OVCFs) who were treated with single-entry PKP at our institution from March 2016 to August 2022. Univariate analysis, binary logistic regression, and ROC curve analysis were performed to determine potential risk factors, independent risk factors, and discrimination ability.

Background: Low-profile double plating seems a viable alternative to conventional single plating for fixation of midshaft clavicle fractures. This study aims to compare the two techniques regarding healing, complications, and removal rate.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study included all patients >16 years that underwent plate fixation for midshaft clavicle fractures between 2020 and 2022 at one trauma-center.

Purpose: Congenital pseudarthrosis of the tibia (CPT) is a rare condition typically manifesting within the first decade of life. The primary objectives of surgical intervention for CPT include achieving long-term bony union of the tibia, preventing or minimizing limb length discrepancies (LLD), avoiding mechanical axis deviations of the tibia and adjacent joints, and preventing refracture. This study aims to conduct a systematic review of current treatment methods for CPT to determine the most effective non-surgical and surgical management strategies for pediatric patients with this condition.

Background: The incidence rate of subsequent refracture after removal of the implant in mid-shaft clavicle fracture patients is relatively high. This can lead to additional medical costs and cause doctor-patient dispute. This study tries to introduce a new method to predict the refracture risk of the clavicle after hardware removal.

Osteoporotic fracture is a special type of pathological fracture characterized by high morbidity, high disability, high mortality and low diagnosis and treatment rate. Currently, the main problem with clinical intervention for osteoporotic fractures is the lack of proper understanding by doctors (especially orthopedic surgeons) of the pathologic changes in the disease itself. Aggressive surgical treatment is very important, but it cannot fundamentally solve the serious consequences of delayed healing of osteoporotic fractures and the occurrence of re-fractures.
