In a recent study, Rivera et al. discovered that elevated adenosine deaminase acting on RNA (ADAR)-1-mediated RNA editing is a distinguishing feature of T-ALL relapse, and that ADAR1 suppresses apoptosis triggered by the double-stranded (ds)RNA-sensing pathway.
