Allied health clinical educators (AHCEs) are vital to health professional student education and clinical education is often expected in a job role. Communities of practice (CoPs) may be a strategy to meet educator learning needs. A rapid review was conducted to determine the structures, purposes, and outcomes of AHCE CoPs, and barriers or enablers of participation in CoPs.

For wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) systems, excessive linear and nonlinear noise will seriously decrease the quality of optical signals, and the effective joint monitoring scheme can prevent the degradation of system performance due to noise accumulation. In this paper, we propose a probability information assisted knowledge distillation (PIAKD) scheme that achieves intelligent joint monitoring for linear signal-to-noise ratio (SNRL) and nonlinear signal-to-noise ratio (SNRNL) in WDM systems. Under the condition of multi-task regression, outputs are independent and continuous, PIAKD addresses the longstanding challenge that the student model fails to effectively learn knowledge from the teacher model by introducing probability information into the loss function.

Introduction: The advancements in neonatal resuscitation and surgical care have enabled children with congenital abnormalities to receive corrective surgeries and achieve lifespans well into adulthood. These patients may require long-term follow-up as they continue to have risks of developing sequelae from their original diseases or surgical interventions.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the current practice and barriers to the transition of care (TOC) from the perspectives of adult surgeons.
